Concept/background:  When Sumire was young, her life was quite average in Osaka. Her mother an exorcist serving the True Cross Order, and her father a Catholic missionary. Her mother mostly took care of her and her brother, Senshiro, until her untimely death during an exorcism; Sumire was but seven years and her brother, fourteen. In honor of his deceased wife and in effort to better take care of his family, Takahito, their father, became an ordained priest of the Roman Catholic Church, and opened his own diocese. Personality: First and foremost, Sumire is a tomboy. She has no qualms in getting her hands dirty and doing what men do. In fact, she will often go out of her way to prove she’s just as good as any male-- girly clothes and pink need not apply. This is mostly due to being raised (and picked on) by her older brother, whom is also the root of her huge inferiority complex when it comes to him and the opposite sex.

Outspoken, opinionated, tactless, and prideful are all excellent words in describing her general attitude. Not to say she’s always a raving, belligerent woman with a chip on her shoulder, in truth, she-- deep, deep, deep down-- is just yearning for someone that’ll give her the attention she’s always craved and never been given. However, with her squishy feelings guarded like a fortress, getting close to her is a difficult task. It’s easier for her to make friends with other women than men, as she’s less defensive and much more friendly. But once you earn her friendship, or loyalty, it’s forever and to the death.
