I do not understand this woman at all. One moment she's affectionate, the next she calls me an asshole! Women are an enigma to me.

What happened was she had been in a good mood, greeted me when I arrived home.. Unexpectedly sweet, really. Which I did not mind, and was rather grateful for, actually.
So Izayoi says, "I love you". Wonderful! I mean, I knew anyway, before she said anything. I said "Thanks", (better than no thanks, right?) Of course I would say "Thanks"! I appreciate the gesture! I was merely showing gratitude!
